Special teams game changer
Nebraska's Jacory Barney Jr. signaled for a fair catch on a Rhys Dakin punt but appeared caught between two minds and pulled up.
There was a little confusion on the field as the teams chased after the apparent muffed punt but after review Barney didn't actually touch it.
But! In the ensuing scramble, Nebraska's Vincent Shavers Jr. got his hand on the ball first and Iowa's John Nestor ended up with the recovery at the Nebraska 4.
The ruling on the field stood.

Cade McNamara out, but no injury designation for Brendan Sullivan
Iowa will again be without quarterback Cade McNamara against Nebraska, according to the Hawkeyes’ pregame availability report.

Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz said earlier in the week that both McNamara and Sullivan had been practicing, but Stratton still was expected to be Iowa’s starter.
