But on the field, the Hawkeyes experienced a thorny result as they suffered a 20-17 loss to UCLA.

The Jackson Stratton-led Iowa offense found the end zone, with some help from UCLA.
Drew Stevens kicked a 57-yard field goal, but a personal foul on the Bruins instead gave the Hawkeyes an automatic first down.
Stratton and company took advantage, with Kamari Moulton punching in a 1-yard touchdown run to cap a 13-play, 61-yard drive.
Stratton completed 3 of 4 passes for 28 yards, including a pair of third-and-long conversions.

This time Kyler Fisher stripped quarterback Ethan Garbers on the move and Jaden Harrell recovered the fumble for a touchback.
