A clutch late drive and even more clutch 54-yard field goal with six seconds left by Kyle Konrardy gave the Iowa State Cyclones a 20-19 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes in Saturday’s Cy-Hawk Game at Kinnick Stadium.
Walk-on kicker Kyle Konrardy completes ISU's comeback
Cornerback Darien Porter gave Iowa State hope. Quarterback Rocco Becht, in turn, gave the offense life. And walk-on kicker Kyle Konrardy furnished the fireworks and heroics, drilling a 54-yard field goal with five seconds left that completed the Cyclones’ stunning 20-19 comeback win over No. 21 Iowa Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.

Iowa State erased 21st-ranked Iowa’s 13-0 halftime lead and delivered a sharp reality check to a team that entered the 2024 season with College Football Playoff aspirations.

Iowa got one final play with one second remaining after Kaden Wetjen's kick return to the ISU 49 but Cade McNamara's Hail Mary was intercepted by Darien Porter.
The Cyclones rallied from a 13-0 deficit and won it on Kyle Konrardy's 54-yard field goal with five seconds remaining.
Iowa State has won back-to-back games at Kinnick and improves to 2-0 this season.
Iowa is 1-1 and hosts Troy next week.

The Hawkeye offense is moving again and has Kaleb Johnson to thank. He carried a tackler for a good gain, then powered through a couple more for a third-and-2 conversion.
