Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall had already won multiple Big Ten titles, had already been to the national title game. Both chose to use an extra year of eligibility for more moments like Sunday, when both made clutch plays as Iowa claimed another Big Ten tournament championship.

Caitlin Clark scored 30 of her game-high 34 points after intermission, and No. 3 Iowa outlasted Nebraska in overtime, 94-89, in the Big Ten women’s basketball championship game Sunday afternoon at Target Center.

Hawkeyes (29-4) win their third straight Big Ten tournament title. Probably nail down an NCAA tournament 1-seed.

Iowa vs. Nebraska game notes
• It has been a relatively easy road so far; Iowa blasted Penn State, 95-62, in the quarterfinal round Friday, then rolled past Michigan, 95-68, in Saturday’s semifinal.
• The 5-seed, Nebraska is in the final for the first time since it won the 2014. The Huskers have notched wins here this week over Purdue (64-56), Michigan State (73-61) and Maryland (78-68).
• Sunday’s game represents the rubber match between the teams. Iowa rolled to a 92-73 victory at Iowa City on Jan. 27. Fifteen days later, the Huskers rallied from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to win at Lincoln, 82-79.
