Marlynne Deede is officially a back-to-back collegiate national champion. Wins via decision.
Iowa takes a half-point lead. If Kylie Welker wins at 170, Iowa claims the team national title. Get the popcorn ready.
Reese Larramendy pins King's Aine Drury to win a national championship at 143. BIG win for the Hawkeyes as North Central's lead is down to 3.5. Deede and Welker still to go for Iowa.
North Central's Yele Aycock loses at 136, which helps the Hawkeyes a LOT in the team race.
Iowa now has three matches to make up 9.5 points.
North Central has a 9.5-point lead in the team title race with two NCC wrestlers left and three Iowa wrestlers left.
Felicity Taylor is the next Hawkeye to be a national champion. She wins via a 9-2 decision over against teammate Brianna Gonzalez. It's Taylor's third collegiate national championship.
Iowa's Ava Bayless (109) is a national champion. Wins via 2-1 decision.
Emilie Gonzalez wins via decision against Sterling Dias and is the first national champion in Iowa program history.
Now Iowa teammates Sterling Dias and Emilie Gonzalez will face off at 101. Winner will be the first Hawkeye to win a national championship in program history.
Jaycee Foeller (191) gets pinned. New Jersey City University's Sandra Guerrero is the collegiate national champion at 191 pounds.
Early observation from the finals: Most (if not all) of the non-Iowa fans are very much rooting against Iowa.
And the championship around is officially underway with 191. Jaycee Foeller has a chance to become Iowa's first ever national champion.
The championship matchups (starting with 191s):

(Neither of them affect the team score because Reese Larramendy and Marlynne Deede are contributing more team points.)
Lilly Luft (136) finishes fifth at NCWWC Nationals. Punctuates a season with a lot of growth for the freshman from Charles City.
Iowa (unsurprisingly) has the most fans here in Cedar Rapids, followed by North Central. Impressive, though, how much energy the few Aurora fans here are bringing.
Started to chant "we can't hear you" at the much larger North Central fan section after an Aurora win over NCC.
Consolation bracket update:
Lilly Luft (130) loses in the consolation semifinals via 6-2 decision. Bella Mir (155) loses in the consolation semifinals after getting pinned. Ella Schmit lost in the previous consolation round with a quick fall. They all have one match to go.
Iowa's lead in team score over North Central is up to 175.5-152 after the semifinals. To say it was an ideal round for the Hawkeyes might be an understatement.
Wow. Jaycee Foeller needs only 42 (!) seconds to pin North Central's Traeh Haynes. Massive win for the Hawkeyes agains the top-ranked wrestler at 191 at the end of the semifinals.
Kylie Welker (170) wins via tech fall and advances to the finals. Iowa is 8-1 so far in the semifinals with Jaycee Foeller still to go.
Bella Mir loses via decision in the semifinals. First loss for Iowa in the championship bracket today.
Bella Mir's semifinal match has taken a while because of several nosebleeds. Eventually, they resorted to taping around her nose.
Sterling Dias shouts to Mir: "Bella you look gooooood!"
Marlynne Deede (155) advances to the finals with a win via 10-0 tech fall. Bella Mir is in a bout against King's Cheyenne Bowman as she tries to join Deede in the finals.
Reese Larramendy makes it look easy with an 11-0 tech fall in the semifinals. She's the sixth Hawkeye to advance to the finals.
Iowa has a 136-127.5 lead in team score over North Central at this point in the semifinals. Still a long way to go, though.
After three weight classes in semifinals... Iowa is guaranteed to have at least two national champions -- 101 and 116 -- because of Iowa-vs.-Iowa championship matches.
Brianna Gonzalez (116) also advances to the finals with a win via 10-1 decision over North Central's Sydney Petzinger.
Iowa will have five athletes in the finals between 101, 109 and 116.
Felicity Taylor (116) gets the pin in the final two seconds of her match against King's Samara Chavez and advances to the finals. Huge win for the Hawkeyes.
"Let's Go Hawks" chants starting at the PowerHouse.
Between both 101 wrestlers advancing, Ava Bayless advancing at 109 and North Central's early losses, hard to ask for much better of a start for the Hawkeyes this morning in Cedar Rapids.
Iowa's Ava Bayless (109) wins via 5-0 decision to advance to the finals.
In the other 109 semifinal, huge upset as North Central's Kendra Ryan gets pinned by Lock Haven's Kaelani Shufeldt. Significant for Iowa's chase of NCC for a team title.
Iowa is only 7.5 team points behind North Central now.
Pair of down-to-the-wire wins for Iowa at 101 pounds in the semifinals. Sterling Dias defeats Madison Avila of North Central via a 3-2 decision. Emilie Gonzalez, meanwhile, wins via a 6-3 decision.

3. King 104.5
4. McKendree 71.5
5. Colorado Mesa 50.5
Ella Schmit (143) wins via tech fall in the consolation fourth round. She's an All-American. And that's a wrap for the Hawkeyes tonight.
12 All-Americans. 10 still alive in the championship bracket. 2 still alive in the consolation bracket.
Ava Rose (123) loses via fall in the consolation fourth round. Emily Frost loses via tech fall. Lilly Luft wins via fall in 2:10.
Luft is an All-American as a freshman.
Iowa trails North Central, 127.5-104.5, as consolation rounds continue.
Clarissa Chun: "They see the boards. They see like, 'Oh shoot, how are we third behind King? Now we're second.' So they're paying attention. They're wanting it as a team. ... It's important for them and important for the program, but really they just got to wrestle. The outcome will take care of itself if they just take care of what's in front of them."
Iowa in the second round of the consolation bracket:
Ava Rose (123) wins via tech fall. Emily Frost (130) wins via fall (1:26). Haley Ward (170) loses via fall.
Iowa’s presence at NCWWC leaves others optimistic about growth of women’s wrestling
As Iowa competes at NCWWC Nationals for first time, the Hawkeyes have added “10,000 more eyes on women’s wrestling now.”
Sizeable gap right now in team scores between North Central (127.5) and Iowa (104.5), but we'll see how much Iowa can trim that in the consolation rounds.
Jaycee Foeller (191) wins via 5-1 decision. Full list of Hawkeyes advancing to the semifinals:

At 143... Ella Schmit gets pinned in the quarterfinals, but Reese Larramendy wins via tech fall to advance.
Larramendy will continue to accumulate team points for the Hawkeyes at 143. (Whenever a team has two athletes at a weight class, only the one with the most points contributes to the team score.)
Iowa's Lilly Luft (136) loses via 8-0 decision to North Central's Yele Aycock in the quarterfinals. NCC's team score is up to 96.5. Iowa is at 67.

Spirited battle between Iowa's Felicity Taylor and King University's Melanie Mendoza before Taylor gets the pin with 13 seconds remaining. Taylor is an All-American.
Sterling Dias delivers another pin in the quarterfinals. She's officially an All-American.
And the second session is underway with an Emilie Gonzalez (101) win via tech fall. She advances to the semifinals, and that makes her the first All-American in a Hawkeye singlet.

Sterling Dias pins Simpson's Emaline Hicks in 1:42. Both of Iowa's 101 wrestlers easily advance to the quarterfinals.
After only needing 53 seconds to win via tech fall in the first round, Emilie Gonzalez picks up a win via tech fall in 50 seconds in the second round. Making it look easy today.
Jaycee Foeller wins by tech fall against Emory & Henry's Brittney Reed. 13 out of 15 Hawkeyes advance to the next round.
Correction: Haley Ward (170) was the one to get pinned by Presbyterian's Henlee Haynes. Jaycee Foeller is now up.

Iowa's Marlynne Deede (155) takes 46 seconds to pin Emma Matera from Ursinus College. (For those wondering, Ursinus College is a private liberal arts college in creatively-named Collegeville, Pennsylvania.)
At 143, Ella Schmit and Reese Larramendy both quickly win via tech fall.
First Hawkeye loss of the morning comes at 130. Iowa's Emily Frost loses to North Central's Sara Sterner via 6-4 decision. Tough draw for Frost in the first round.
An impressive headlock move by Frost to get the four points. The North Central coach yelled "no headlocks!" multiple times after that.
Both of Iowa's wrestlers at 116 advance past the first round via tech falls. Ava Rose (123) wins via tech fall in the final six seconds of her bout. Hawkeyes are (unsurprisingly) 4-for-4 so far in the first round.
A bit of a break here for the Hawkeyes as Sterling Dias (101) and Ava Bayless (109) get first-round byes. North Central and Iowa (by far) have more fans here in CR than any other school.
That was fast... Emilie Gonzalez wins via tech fall in 53 seconds against UW-Stevens Point's Morgan Bethea.
Good morning from the Alliant Energy PowerHouse. First round begins at 11 a.m. Iowa's Emilie Gonzalez (101) will be in the first match.
