    After a 10-point lead had vanished, third-ranked Solon regrouped and regained control in the last 6 minutes. The Spartans topped No. 1 Estherville-Lincoln Central, 54-47, for the Class 3A girls’ basketball state championship Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena.

    Iowa signee Callie Levin tallied 27 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals to lead No. 3 Solon (24-3) to the Class 3A state title, its fourth championship and first since 1998. Hailey Miller added 14 points. Anna Quillin corralled 16 rebounds.

    Haylee Stokes scored a game-high 30 points with nine rebounds and five steals for top-ranked ELC (24-3).

    Boge sisters help send North Linn to the 1A title game

    Sisters Macy and Molly Boge combined for 28 points, nine assists and nine steals to spur top-ranked North Linn to a 60-37 victory over No. 4 Council Bluffs St. Albert in a Class 1A semifinal at the girls’ state basketball tournament Friday afternoon at Wells Fargo Arena.
