From unknown rookie to favored defending champion, Ankeny Christian’s role has changed drastically in a year. Top-ranked Ankeny Christian maintained its Xtream Arena magic, handling No. 4 Conrad BCLUW in Class 1A semifinal.
Holy Trinity stays balanced in 1A semifinal win over Boyden-Hull
Trailing by as many as six points in the third set of Wednesday's Class 1A state volleyball semifinal against No. 2 Boyden-Hull, third-ranked Fort Madison Holy Trinity stayed the course and stormed back strong to complete the sweep.

Holy Trinity will meet top-ranked, defending champion Ankeny Christian for the 1A title Thursday.
