Jake Goodman had a two-run home run, Caleb Klein and Colton McIlrath two hits each. Brett Harris pitched the final four innings to notch the win.
FINAL: Lisbon 5, Kingsley-Pierson 3
Lisbon closes it out with a double play and a pop out to Kamaus. Celebration begins as the Lions (27-4) reach the state finals for the third time in school history and first since 2018. Lions won the 1A title in 1994.

The Bobcats are ahead of Dubuque Wahlert, 7-3, as the game winds to the top of the seventh inning.
WD picked up a couple of insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth inning when Jake Goodman hit a two-run home run to left. It's his fourth long ball of the season.

Luke Czarnecki with a deep flynall to RF for a double. Clark scored. Brayton to third. Brayton scored on a Kaden Caspers sac fly to CF. Lions coming up big late.
Lisbon is rallying in the 7th
Hunter Clark opened with a base hit to RF. Dillon Brayton was hit by a pitch (Panthers' pitchers have had terrible control tonight). Lions have go-ahead run at second with none out. Tied 3-3.
Western Dubuque extends lead
A run in the bottom of the fifth inning has the Bobcats up 5-3 on Wahlert.
Caleb Klein blooped a double toward the right-field line with one out, went to third on an errant pickoff throw at second and scored on a Connor Maiers sacrifice fly to left field.
Wahlert has four errors tonight.
We head to the sixth.
LISBON 3, KINGSLEY-PIERSON 3, End of 6th
Cohen Kamaus continues his gutsy performance on the mound. Gives up a leadoff single, but follows with two straight strikeouts and a pop out to end the inning. He's been pehnomenal. I'm pretty sure he hadn't thrown an inning of varsity before this season. Amazing.
We're still tied.
Beelner gets three straight outs (F-8, 5-3; P-3) to get out of the jam. It's still 3-3. K-P has middle of the order up in the bottom of the 6th.
Another pitching change
After Dakota Clark is hit by pitch to lead off the top of the 6th and one ball thrown to Kamaus, K-P brings in a new pitcher. Conner Beelner in to throw. He is the fourth Panther pitcher in this game.
Western Dubuque rallies to take the lead
The Bobcats picked up three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to grab a 4-3 lead on Dubuque Wahlert.
Connor Maiers walked with one out. Hunter Quagliano then drove a ball over the Wahlert left fielder's head that one-hopped the fence. Maiers came all the way around to score, with Quagliano going to third when the left fielder couldn't cleanly pick up the baseball. A double, RBI and error.
Bradyn Delaney followed with a hard one-hopper to third base. Wahlert's third baseman fielded the ball, with Quagliano stopping about halfway to the plate, knowing he'd easily be out. But the throw home was wild and past the plate, allowing Quagliano to scurry back to third and Delaney to reach safely at second base.
A Tanner Anderson RBI grounder to deep short scored Quagliano to tie things, then Colton McIlrath singled to center field for a clutch two-out run-scoring single. The ninth-place hitter is 2-for-2 tonight after going 2-for-2 with a RBI in WD's quarterfinal win over Harlan.
Western Dubuque 4, Dubuque Wahlert 3 here in the top of the fifth.
LISBON 3, KINGSLEY-PIERSON 3, End of 5th
Panthers with a 2-out walk but that's it. I think this is setting up for the Lions to breakout here. They have 9-1-2 up now. The Lions may not face the top of the Panthers' lineup again.
LISBON 3, KINGSLEY-PIERSON 3, Mid of 5th
Lions put a runner on third with one out. Wright gets a strikeout and flyout to keep the game tied.
LISBON 3, KINGSLEY-PIERSON 3, End of 4th

The freshman, brother of recent Chicago White Sox draft pick Calvin, came into this tournament hitting .424. He started last year as a freshman.
He's good.
Wahlert 3-1 as we meander to the fourth.
LISBON 3, KINGSLEY-PIERSON 3, Mid 4th
Clark gives Wright's first pitch a ride to deep RF. Looked like it may have been misplayed but Panthers' RF makes the catch.
LISBON 3, KINGSLEY-PIERSON 3, Top of 4th
Lions threaten with two on and two out, bringing up Hunter Clark. Panthers go to another reliever. Right fielder Kevin Wright comes into pitch. Third pitcher for them. We're still in the 4th.
LISBON 3, KINGSLEY-PIERSON 3, End of 3rd
Miscues allow the Panthers to even the score. Emerson Pratt with a 1-out blooper down the left field line that drops in. He hustles to turn it into a double. The throw to second skips into RF. Pratt got up and went to third. Next at-bat, hopper up the middle deflects off pitcher's glove. Field by second baseman and he can't get ball out to make a play at first. Two flyouts end the inning.
Wahlert strikes in 2nd
The Golden Eagles get a 3 spot in the top of the second inning and lead 3-0 as we head to the third.
Bode Nagelmaker was hit by a pitch with one out and stole second base. With two outs, ninth-place hitter Owen Wallace singled to right field to score Nagelmaker.
Then Ryan Brosius split the gap in right-center field with a line drive. By the time Western Dubuque's outfielders got to the ball at the fence, Brosius was on his way to third and ended up scoring standing up on a two-run inside-the-park home run.
Wahlert 3, Western Dubuque 0.
LISBON 3, KINGLSEY-PIERSON, Mid 3rd
Lisbon's Kaden Caspers draws a bases-loaded walk to score Stolte. Lions tack on a run and have the lead again.
LISBON 2, KINGSLEY-PIERSON 2, Top of 3rd
Another leadoff walk for Kamaus. He stole second and reached third on a wild pitch. He scored on a Landon Stolte hopper that got through the 5/6 hole. Something appeared to be wrong with Doeschot. He's lifted for Jackson Nissen. Liuons have one on and one out. Middle of their order up.
KINGSLEY-PIERSON 2, LISBON 1, End 2nd
Kamaus retires the Panthers in order (1-3; F-7; 3-U). he has thrown 30 pitches. Doeschot is at 36. Both pitchers cut down on extra pitches in the second.
KINGSLEY-PIERSON 2, LISBON 1, Mid 2nd
The Lions get another leadoff walk and a sac bunt to follow. Runner rounds second hard and first base Beau Bubke throws behind Lion runner at second, catching him off the base. Panthers execute the 3-6-5-4 run down for second out. Strikeout ends the inning.
KINGSLEY-PIERSON 2, LISBON 1, End of 1st
The Panthers answer and get a little help. An error on a leadoff hopper allowed Conner Beelner to reach. He moved to third on an Emerson Pratt single. Beelner scored on Evan Neumann's groundout and Pratt scored on Beau Bubke's fielder's choice.
Lisbon's Kamaus threw 18 pitches, while Doeschot threw 22. That pitch count for both teams could be a big factor in the late innings.
LISBON 1, KINGSLEY-PIERSON 0, Mid 1st
The Lions score in the opening frame. Leadoff batter Cohen Kamaus walked and reached second on a wild pitch. He scored on Alex Bock's base hit up the middle. Lisbon stranded Bock and Dillon Brayton, who walked.
