Carlisle (30-7) won both regular-season meetings against Raccoon River Conference foe Winterset, but the defending state champion Huskies (26-12) got the best of the Wildcats in Fort Dodge for the second year in a row.
Three players -- Avary Darling (3-for-4), Brynn Acton (4-for-5) and Molly Breeding (3-for-4) -- had at least three hits and everyone in the lineup had at least one for a Winterset team that totaled 20. Acton homered and drove in three runs.
Winterset records 20 hits in an 11-5 win over Carlisle in a 4A quarterfinal.

Sarah Rigdon's sixth-inning RBI single sent PV past Northwest as the Spartans became the second Mississippi Athletic Conference team to pull an upset in the Class 5A first round.
The Spartans never trailed but the Wolves rallied to tie it twice, including a two-run fifth that made it 4-4.
PV will meet seventh-ranked Muscatine in Wednesday's semifinals at 1 p.m.
Northwest will play in a consolation game at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Our first upset of the tournament.
Muscatine scored three times in the top of the seventh to knock off Ankeny, preventing an all-Ankeny title game that many would have predicted between the No. 2-ranked Hawks and No. 1 Ankeny Centennial.
Mia Molina scored from third on an error to break the deadlock, then Kaitlyn Haag hit a two-run single to give the Muskies (33-6) some insurance. They'll play in a semifinal game Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Mara Chalupa allowed only two hits and three walks while striking out eight in a complete-game shutout.
Ankeny will play in a consolation game at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Final: No. 4 Southeast Polk 5, No. 5 West Des Moines Valley 2 (Class 5A quarterfinals)
Southeast Polk (31-9) improved to 3-0 against Valley (34-9) this season and advanced to the Class 5A semifinals, where it will take on top-ranked Ankeny Centennial at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Valley will face No. 8 Bettendorf in a consolation game Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Jesslyn Stairs smacked a two-run homer to center to extend the Rams' lead to 5-2 in the fifth. Kendall Woods was 3-for-3 and scored a run and Syndey Potter was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Jayda Long pitched a complete game for the win.
Final: No. 1 Ankeny Centennial 7, No. 8 Bettendorf 1 (Class 5A quarterfinals)
Top-ranked Centennial (34-5) was victorious in the first game of the day. The Jaguars advance to the semifinals at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Bettendorf (29-11) will play in a consolation game at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Makenzie James was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Mady Ott was 2-for-2 and scored twice. Lauren Gustofson struck out seven Bulldogs in five innings, allowing only one run on four hits and four walks.
